Sam Houston Tree Co is named for the national forest that starts at the county’s north edge and, honestly, for the fact that half of what gets climbed around here is the same loblolly pine that forest is made of.
Sam Houston Tree Co doesn’t send out a crew of its own: we’re a referral service, and every request is passed to a single independent tree company around Conroe that prices the job and handles the work itself.
The business is deliberately narrow: tree removal, trimming and pruning, storm response, and stump grinding. That’s the whole menu. When a request comes in for work outside it, we say so and save everyone a trip.
How jobs are priced
Every job gets a free, written, per-tree estimate before work starts, and the written number is the number — it doesn’t grow once the work is under way. If pruning solves a problem you thought needed a removal, the estimate says that, because a $400 trim that fixes it beats a $1,500 removal that wasn’t needed.
What the process looks like
You call or send the form, and the request goes to that one tree company. Someone from it comes to look at the tree, talks through what it needs — and what it doesn’t — and leaves you a written number. On work day, the company shows up when agreed, does the job the way the estimate describes, hauls what it cut, and rakes what it dropped. On oaks, scheduling follows the oak wilt calendar even when that’s inconvenient, because a dead live oak is a lot more inconvenient.
